Nothing has unveiled the Phone 2a Special Edition, a vibrant version of its affordable Android phone featuring a combination of red, yellow, and blue colors. Described by Design Director Adam as a celebration of primary colors, this unique aesthetic has garnered mixed reactions, including a humorous comparison to a side view of someone on a toilet. Tech YouTuber Marques Brownlee noted the polarized opinions, saying, “You’re only allowed to love or hate this design, no in between.”
The Phone 2a Special Edition shares the same specifications as the standard model, including a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro chipset, dual 50MP rear cameras, 32MP front camera, and a 5000mAh battery with 45W wired charging. It offers 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, priced at £349 / ₹27,999 INR / €379. It is available in limited quantities on nothing.tech and at a special event in London on June 1.
The standard Phone 2a is available in the US for $350 through Nothing’s developer program, but the Special Edition colorway is not yet available for direct purchase. Interested US buyers can sign up for alerts on its availability. The Phone 2a Special Edition has sparked significant interest and debate in the tech community.
