YouTube Music has introduced a new hum-to-search feature, allowing users to identify songs by humming, singing, or playing the melody. Initially tested on YouTube, this feature is now available to YouTube Music users on Android. Users can access it by tapping the new waveform icon in the search menu, which prompts them to “Play, sing, or hum a song.” Google’s AI then compares the input to its extensive song library, often successfully finding a match. This feature supports multiple languages and is expected to be available for iOS soon. Integrating hum-to-search into YouTube Music aims to help users quickly identify songs stuck in their heads.
