Apple announced several upcoming Siri improvements at WWDC, with some arriving by the end of 2024. According to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, updates include a new glowing ring UI and enhanced natural language understanding, even when users misspeak. Siri will also gain more knowledge of Apple products and allow users to type queries.
Other AI features coming this year include AI notification recaps, summarization of webpages, voice memos, meeting notes, and emails, and Genmoji (AI-generated emoji). Additionally, a redesigned Mail app and Swift Assist for Xcode will launch later in 2024. Apple is taking a slow approach to its AI rollout to avoid issues faced by other companies.
