Samsung is rumored to launch two versions of the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6, but it seems only the regular Z Fold 6 will debut first, with a second version expected later. Reliable leaker Ice Universe suggests that the anticipated Galaxy Z Fold 6 ‘Slim’ is actually the Galaxy W25, set to launch in China (and possibly Korea) in October. Unlike last year’s rebranded models, the W25 will be lighter and thinner than the regular Z Fold 6, possibly due to the removal of S Pen support.
The W25 will feature physical differences, such as a lighter, thinner design, and a larger form factor or new aspect ratio for the outer display. This redesign could position the W25 as a premium product, though its lack of S Pen support might be a drawback. While the W25 might remain China-specific to compete with local brands, foldable phone enthusiasts in the US might see only minor updates to Samsung’s foldables this year. However, the upcoming Pixel Fold 2 could provide some excitement in the market.
