Samsung smartphones outsell Apple in US

A recent CIRP report on US smartphone sales from April 2023 to March 2024 shows that Samsung sold more units than Apple, but Apple dominated the high-end market. Samsung held a 38% market share, while Apple was close behind with 33%. Motorola had 13%, “other” manufacturers 10%, and Google 6%.

Apple’s revenue was higher due to 64% of its sales being flagship models (iPhone 15 series), compared to Samsung’s 42% (Galaxy S23, S24, Flip, and Fold). Apple’s older and more affordable models made up about one-third of its sales, whereas Samsung’s lower-end models accounted for nearly 60% of its sales. This indicates that Apple sells more premium smartphones in the US than Samsung.
