Apple plans to begin mass production of AirPods with cameras by 2026. These AirPods are designed to enhance the user experience with Vision Pro and future Apple headsets, improving spatial audio and computing. They can emphasize sound in the direction the user looks and may enable in-air gesture control using IR cameras. Foxconn will supply the IR cameras, with a capacity of about 10 million pairs of AirPods annually. Apple is also exploring other wearable devices, including smart glasses and rings, as well as future versions of the Apple Watch.
