Microsoft banned Android phones in China for work

Starting in September, Microsoft employees in China must use iPhones for work, as the company will block Android devices from accessing corporate resources. This shift, detailed in an internal memo obtained by Bloomberg News, is due to the unavailability of Google Mobile Services in China, which are essential for running Microsoft’s security apps. To support the transition, Microsoft will provide iPhone 15s to employees using Android phones. This decision is part of Microsoft’s broader initiative to strengthen cyber defenses following significant cyberattacks, including one linked to Russia.
