The Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra no longer support wireless charging via smartphones due to a new rear sensor design that alters the shape of the back glass. This change increases the distance between the watch’s internal wireless charging coil and the wireless charger, rendering Wireless PowerShare incompatible. Samsung also warned that this design might cause slower charging and higher heat generation with existing wireless pads, advising users to use the included wireless charger for optimal performance.
