US Vision Pro sales likely to fall 75% this quarter

Market intelligence company IDC reports that US Vision Pro sales will drop by 75% this quarter, predicting the device will not reach 500k sales in its first year. The $3,500 mixed-reality headset has not sold 100,000 units in a quarter since its February launch. IDC suggests that a cheaper model, potentially around $1,500, is needed to drive growth, with a more affordable version expected in 2025. Early adopters in the US have largely already purchased the device, but international sales may offset the domestic decline. Apple is now focusing on developing a lower-cost, consumer-level model, potentially by cutting features like the EyeSight display.
