Apple’s iPhone 16 series is expected to launch on time in September, even though the Apple Intelligence suite may be delayed until October. Samsung and LG have begun mass-producing display panels for the upcoming iPhones, with Apple ordering 80 million panels from Samsung and 43 million from LG. This is around 30% more panels than the estimated 90 million iPhone 16 shipments. LG will see a significant boost, supplying 10 million more panels than last year. Samsung, while maintaining its share, is expected to benefit from the higher-priced Pro and Pro Max models. China’s BOE may not be involved in this generation due to approval issues.
