Starting in October, Apple will require developers classified as “traders” to provide their address and phone number on the EU App Store, following the EU’s Digital Services Act (DSA). This applies to developers earning any revenue from their apps, including sales, in-app purchases, or ads. Individual developers must display their address, phone number, and email, while organizations only need to provide a phone number and email. Many developers are unhappy, as this often means sharing personal details. Developers must comply by February 17, 2025, or risk their apps being removed from the EU App Store.
