Disney is implementing price hikes for its streaming services starting October 17th. Disney Plus with ads will increase from $8 to $10 monthly, and ad-free plans will rise from $14 to $16 monthly, with annual plans going from $140 to $160. Hulu’s ad-supported tier will go from $8 to $10 monthly, and ad-free plans will rise from $18 to $19. ESPN Plus will increase from $11 to $12 monthly and from $110 to $120 annually. Additionally, Disney Plus will introduce ABC News Live and curated playlists starting September 4th, featuring categories like preschool content, seasonal themes, Marvel and Star Wars stories, throwbacks, and documentaries. These changes are part of Disney’s effort to make its streaming services profitable.
