Disney will restrict password sharing

Disney Plus will soon restrict password sharing outside your household, starting in September. CEO Bob Iger confirmed the crackdown during an earnings call, noting Disney’s streaming platforms, including Disney Plus, ESPN Plus, and Hulu, have become profitable, earning around $47 million in Q3. Although Disney has been inconsistent about password sharing policies, the US market is expected to see these changes soon. Pricing for paid sharing is unknown but may be similar to Netflix’s $7.99 extra user fee. Additionally, Disney is raising subscription prices for its services starting in October but is adding features like curated playlists and ABC News Live to enhance value.
