The iPhone 17 Pro Max, set for release next year, is rumored to feature an upgraded cooling system that combines vapor chamber technology with graphite sheets, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. This advanced cooling system will be exclusive to the Pro Max model, while the rest of the iPhone 17 lineup will retain the current graphite sheets. The Pro Max is also expected to have 12GB of RAM, making the enhanced cooling necessary. Vapor chamber technology, already used in some Android phones, helps manage heat more effectively. It’s unclear if this feature will be included in all iPhone 18 models in 2026.
