Mobile phones not linked to brain cancer, biggest study to date finds

A comprehensive review commissioned by the World Health Organization (WHO) has found no link between mobile phone use and brain or head cancers. Led by the Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency, the study analyzed over 5,000 studies and concluded that mobile phones do not increase the risk of cancer, even with prolonged use. The review addressed concerns that arose from early studies suggesting a possible association, which led the WHO to classify radio-frequency fields as a “possible” cancer risk. The study’s findings aim to reassure the public, though ongoing research is recommended as technology evolves.
