Brazilian court unblocks X

After Elon Musk acquired X (formerly Twitter), he clashed with Brazilian courts over requests to remove accounts spreading misinformation. Musk shut down X’s Brazil office, violating a law requiring foreign companies to have a local representative. As a result, X was banned in Brazil on August 30, affecting over 20 million users. X later complied, paid a $5 million fine, and suspended the requested accounts. Though the app wasn’t removed from stores, it only works in Brazil via VPN. The issue has raised concerns in Europe, where the EU is considering sanctions on X.
