Google’s new Ask Photos feature, powered by Gemini, allows users to search for photos using natural language. Currently, it’s rolling out to some US users on a waitlist.
The feature, which works via a server-side update, enables searches like “What’s my license plate number?” or “Show me the best photo from each national park I’ve visited.” Although similar technology exists in ASUS’s gallery app, Google’s implementation is more advanced, using facial recognition and Gemini’s AI capabilities.
A global rollout is expected in the future.
