Google’s upcoming Pixel 9a will get bigger display and battery

The Pixel 9a is rumored to be launching earlier than usual, possibly in March 2025, with leaks revealing a 6.3-inch Actua display with a 60-120Hz refresh rate, matching the Pixel 9 in screen size. It’s expected to be slightly larger in dimensions but lighter at 186g, likely due to a polycarbonate back. Powered by the Tensor G4 chip with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB storage, the Pixel 9a may feature a 5,000mAh battery but keep its charging speeds at 18W wired and 7.5W wireless.

Aesthetically, it will likely mirror the Pixel 9’s design but drop the signature camera visor for a flush, dual-camera setup with a 48MP main lens and a 13MP ultrawide. Expected to launch at $499, it offers a more budget-friendly option compared to the $799 Pixel 9, setting up competition with the rumored iPhone SE 4.
