Google Wallet is set to introduce location-based “Nearby notifications” for passes. Currently, the app sends notifications for events like flights and tickets but doesn’t consider your location. The new feature will change that by sending reminders when you’re near relevant venues, such as concert halls for stored event tickets.
Users will also have the option to customize these location-based alerts for individual passes. The feature is expected to roll out soon, with more updates to follow.
