Mercedes has launched an Apple Watch app, allowing users to control and monitor their cars without a smartphone. Features include checking range, battery or fuel level, charging status, car location and remotely locking/unlocking the vehicle. It also provides pedestrian navigation to your parked car and a compass mode for areas without maps, like underground parking.
The app is currently available in Europe, with releases in the US, China and Asia Pacific to follow. Users need a Mercedes me account, app version 1.50.0+ on their iPhone and an Apple Watch running watchOS 9 or later.
