Google’s Gemini is making strides but still trails Google Assistant in features. A new beta (version 15.48) of the Google app introduces the ability to make calls and send messages directly from the lock screen. This feature, not widely available yet, can be activated in Gemini’s settings under “Make calls and send messages without unlocking.”
Additionally, Google is reportedly testing an “I’m feeling lucky” button for Gemini, which generates random prompts, similar to the feature on Google Search.
