Samsung Galaxy S25 will support Qi2 wireless charging

The European Samsung Galaxy S25 models recently appeared at the FCC, confirming wireless charging capabilities. According to leaks, the S25 series is expected to support Qi2 charging, which includes two profiles: Extended Power Profile (15W without magnets) and Magnetic Power Profile (15W with magnets for alignment).

If true, this would align the S25 with the latest Qi2 standard, potentially rivaling other magnet-based systems like Oppo’s “Oppo Mag” and OnePlus’s “MagVOOC,” which use proprietary accessories instead of full Qi2 compatibility. Further details on Samsung’s implementation are awaited.
