Samsung XR glasses may see very limited launch at first

Samsung is reportedly working on a new XR device powered by Google’s platform, with plans to launch in Q3 2025 under the codename Project Moohan. The company expects to ship only 50,000 units in the second half of 2025, suggesting a limited initial rollout.

A prototype may debut as early as next month at the Galaxy S25 launch event, but the full release is still far off. This cautious approach follows mixed industry trends, including the commercial failure of Apple Vision Pro and the success of Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses.
