Meta has announced Edits, a new mobile video editing platform, shortly after TikTok and CapCut faced a temporary US ban. The app, unveiled by Instagram head Adam Mosseri on Threads, aims to provide creators with a robust alternative to CapCut.
Key features include:
- An inspiration tab and idea tracker.
- A high-quality camera for video shooting.
- Comprehensive editing tools.
- Options to share drafts and export content to Instagram with Reels insights.
Currently available for pre-order on the App Store, Edits is expected to launch on iOS in February or March, with an Android release coming later. Meta has been testing the app with creators in recent months.
