Mercedes-Benz and Google Cloud are teaming up to enhance the in-car navigation experience by integrating Google Cloud’s Automotive AI Agent into the MBUX Virtual Assistant. Powered by Google’s Gemini AI, the system will understand natural language queries, allowing drivers to ask for real-time traffic updates, nearby EV charging stations or coffee shops with outdoor seating and Wi-Fi.
Using Google Maps Platform’s extensive data, the assistant provides instant, accurate answers, supported by over 100 million daily updates. It also handles complex, multi-turn conversations, letting drivers refine queries without repeating themselves. This collaboration aims to deliver a smarter, more intuitive driving experience.
