Police gives free AirTags to prevent vehicle theft

A police department in Arvada, Colorado is distributing free AirTags and Tile trackers to help combat auto theft. Along with the trackers, they provide stickers that warn potential thieves the vehicle is “Tracker Equipped.” While owners must share the tracker’s location with police in case of theft, there are no built-in police tracking privileges.

This initiative aims to deter crime and assist in recovering stolen vehicles. If successful, it could inspire similar programs in other cities.
