Realme has unveiled the realme 14 Pro series, featuring a unique temperature-sensitive color-changing back. The Pearl White rear cover shifts to vibrant blue when temperatures drop below 16°C (60°F), using thermochromic pigments. However, this effect is subtle, limited to certain areas, and may fade after 12 months, especially with sun exposure.
The Pearl White variant also boasts a shell-like texture with a unique pattern for each device, similar to the HUAWEI P60 Pro. The series offers IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance, though it’s unclear if this applies to both Pro and Pro Plus models.
The 14 Pro Plus model includes a quad-curved screen, triple rear cameras with a dedicated flash for night portraits, a periscope camera and is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset. Realme partnered with Valeur Designers for its design, emphasizing elegance and durability. Further details on pricing and availability are awaited.
