Apple iPhone 16 series will go back on sale in Indonesia for cool $1 billion

Apple has resolved its dispute with Indonesia, allowing iPhone 16 sales to resume after months of negotiations. Initially banned for failing to meet investment commitments, Apple pledged $1 billion, including an AirTag manufacturing plant (producing 20% of global supply), an accessories factory and tech training programs. Despite avoiding local iPhone production, the deal highlights Indonesia’s leverage as a major market.
