Apple secures ultra-thin glass supply for its first foldable device

Apple is set to launch its first foldable device in late 2025, with Lens Technology supplying most of the ultra-thin glass (UTG). Corning will likely provide raw materials, while Samsung Display is expected to supply the folding screen.

Apple plans to thin only the central part of the UTG near the hinge for better durability. South Korean firms Dowoo Insys and UTI may serve as secondary suppliers. Lens Technology is expanding its UTG production line this year in preparation for Apple’s orders.
