Humane has officially discontinued its AI Pin, admitting defeat after months of poor reviews and unmet promises. The $700 device, once seen as a futuristic AI-powered gadget, will lose all functionality on February 28, 2025, when Humane shuts down its servers. Users must back up their data before this date or risk losing it permanently. Refunds are available only for devices shipped on or after November 15, 2024, with requests due by February 27, 2025. Meanwhile, HP has acquired Humane, gaining access to its AI platform, patents and technical staff.
