Microsoft will axe VPN from Android´s 365

Microsoft is discontinuing the privacy protection VPN feature from its Defender app across all devices, including Windows, macOS, iOS and Android. The feature, launched less than two years ago, will be removed by February 28, 2025. While Microsoft hasn’t provided a clear reason, it cites a shift in focus to better align with customer needs. iOS users will still see a VPN for web protection (anti-phishing). Android users are advised to remove the Defender VPN profile from their device settings, though leaving it won’t affect functionality.
