OpenAI is interested in buying Google Chrome if it’s sold as part of a U.S. antitrust case remedy, according to ChatGPT’s head of product. The DOJ has proposed breaking up Google’s business after a court ruled it monopolizes online search. OpenAI also previously sought a partnership to use Google’s search tech but was rejected. Instead, OpenAI relies on Bing and is developing its own search index, though progress is slower than expected.
