Pixel phone production may move from Vietnam to India

Due to rising U.S. tariffs, Google is exploring ways to reduce costs by shifting Pixel phone production from Vietnam to India. The company is in talks with Indian partners, Dixon Technologies and Foxconn, to move parts of its supply chain and localize key components like chargers and batteries. While India still faces a 26% tariff, it’s lower than Vietnam’s 46%, making it a more cost-effective option. Currently, Foxconn and Dixon produce around 43,000–45,000 Pixel phones monthly in India, mainly for the local market.
