Apple iOS 19 may allow transferring an eSIM from an iPhone directly to an Android phone

Switching phones, especially from iPhone to Android, often requires contacting your carrier to transfer an eSIM. However, new evidence from Google’s SIM Manager app suggests iOS 19 will support wireless eSIM transfers to Android. A new “Transfer to Android” option may appear in iPhone settings, allowing users to scan a QR code and enter a session ID and passcode to complete the transfer. This feature could launch soon, possibly announced at WWDC 2025, and would simplify switching devices without needing carrier support.
