Google has a new tool to help detect AI-generated content

At Google I/O, Google introduced the SynthID Detector, a tool that identifies AI-generated content created with Google’s tools like Gemini, Imagen, Lyria and Veo. It scans images, text, audio and video for hidden SynthID watermarks and highlights likely marked areas. Currently available to early testers, it will roll out more broadly through a waitlist.
