Android 16’s much-anticipated Live Updates feature, which lets users track real-time progress from apps like delivery and rideshare services on their home screens, is expanding beyond phones. Google has confirmed that Live Updates will also come to Wear OS smartwatches and foldable devices in 2026. Similar to Apple Watch’s Live Activities, this feature will enhance glanceable information on wearables. While details on the Wear OS implementation are still under wraps, it’s expected to integrate with existing Tiles or a new system in future Wear OS versions.
