Samsung is upgrading earthquake alerts on Galaxy phones with a more customizable system than Google’s. Users can set their own magnitude thresholds (starting from 1.0), preview alerts, and choose different settings for day and night. The feature also includes alert history, emergency shelter info, and contact options. It’s expected to launch with the One UI 8 update, though an early APK is already available for testing.
