Snap Inc. has announced that its next AR glasses, called “Specs,” will launch publicly in 2026, marking its first consumer release after previous models were limited to developers. Unveiled at AWE 2025, Snap describes Specs as “the most advanced personal computer in the world,” featuring see-through lenses that blend digital and physical experiences. Snap also revealed it has invested over $3 billion in AR glasses over the past 11 years. Alongside the announcement, the company introduced updates to Snap OS, AI integrations, new developer tools and upcoming WebXR support.
