WhatsApp is rolling out a new Meta AI feature that generates bullet-point summaries of your unread messages. Available in English in the US (with more regions and languages coming later), the tool is optional and off by default. It relies on Meta’s “Private Processing” to keep chats hidden from Meta and third parties, and group admins can block AI features via “Advanced Privacy.” Accuracy remains untested, and the launch follows WhatsApp’s recent push to add more AI tools – changes that have already drawn mixed user reactions.
