Jack Dorsey made an encrypted Bluetooth messaging app

Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey has launched Bitchat, a new peer-to-peer messaging app that works entirely over Bluetooth without internet or cellular service. Using Bluetooth Low Energy mesh networking, it enables encrypted, account-free communication between nearby devices. Bitchat includes privacy features like password-protected channels and a “Panic Mode” to erase data instantly. Currently in beta via Apple TestFlight, the app has already reached its 10,000-user limit and is awaiting full release.
