Google is rolling out Gemini, its new AI assistant, to smartwatches running Wear OS 4 or newer, replacing Google Assistant. Initially launched on the Galaxy Watch 8, Gemini is now expanding to devices from brands like OnePlus, OPPO, and Xiaomi. The update adds a dedicated Gemini app with voice activation and support for features like timers, alarms, and app interactions. While some functions are still missing, like notification summaries and third-party app access, Gemini brings a fresh design and smoother animations. Users can also sideload the app if it’s not yet available on their device.
