Apple has announced that Sabih Khan will become the new Chief Operating Officer later this month, replacing Jeff Williams, who is set to retire at the end of the year. Williams, a key figure behind the iPod, iPhone, and Apple Watch, will continue overseeing design and Apple’s health efforts until his departure. Khan, a 30-year Apple veteran and current VP of operations, has led the company’s global supply chain. After Williams retires, Apple’s design team will report directly to CEO Tim Cook.
