Apple rigorously tests its products for durability, running over 10,000 iPhones through environmental, water, impact and vibration tests before launch. At WWDC 2025, select attendees toured one of Apple’s testing labs, witnessing simulations of harsh climates, water submersion up to 6 meters, drops at various angles and surfaces, and long-term vibration exposure. Tests also include exposure to substances like sweat, dust, sunscreen, and soda. Apple uses these results to ensure reliability across real-world conditions in over 175 countries.
