Apple may make Gemini the foundation of Siri

Apple is exploring a partnership with Google to revamp Siri using Gemini, after delays to its own AI-powered upgrade. Bloomberg reports Apple is testing two Siri versions — one built on its in-house models (Linwood) and another on third-party models (Glenwood). Talks with Google are still early and Apple is also considering OpenAI and Anthropic. A revamped Siri, expected next year, would likely run on Apple’s private cloud servers and offer deeper app control.
