HUAWEI is preparing to launch its second tri-fold phone, the Mate XTs, with pre-orders now open in China and a full reveal set for September 4. The device, branded “Ultimate Design,” refines the Mate XT’s outward-folding S-hinge and will come in Red, Black, Purple, and White with 16GB RAM and up to 1TB storage. Expected upgrades include a Kirin 9020 chip, 50MP main camera with variable aperture, improved periscope zoom, and satellite connectivity. Pricing hasn’t been announced yet, but global availability may be limited. With Samsung and others still holding back, HUAWEI remains the only brand actually shipping tri-folds.
