Huawei’s new flip phone is here

Huawei Pura X is now on sale – a sideways-opening flip phone with a 6.3-inch 16:10 display, blending flip phone portability with tablet-like proportions. It’s the first Huawei device to drop Android entirely, running HarmonyOS Next with no Android app support, and the first to feature Huawei’s AI assistant, Harmony Intelligence, powered by its Pangu model and DeepSeek.

Priced from 7,499 yuan (~$1,037), the Pura X also showcases Huawei’s growing AI ambitions — something Nvidia’s CEO calls a serious global factor.
