WhatsApp is testing a voicemail-like feature for missed calls in its Android beta (v2.25.23.21). If a call goes unanswered, users will see a “Record voice message” shortcut alongside “Call again” and “Cancel,” as well as in the chat window, making it quicker to send an audio note. The feature is live for some beta testers, with no word yet on a wider release.
