Instagram has finally launched a dedicated iPad app, available from September 3rd. Unlike the mobile version, it opens directly to Reels, highlighting Meta’s push into short-form video amid TikTok’s regulatory troubles. The app still includes Stories, a “Following” tab with photo feeds and features optimized for the larger screen, like side-by-side comments and DMs. A similar design will roll out to Android tablets soon.
