Apple has delayed iPhone Air preorders in mainland China due to regulatory issues with eSIM. The Chinese store now says release details will be “updated later.” Unlike the iPhone 17 lineup, which is already available for preorder, the Air is eSIM-only — a first for China, where eSIM support is still limited. Apple says it’s working with regulators to enable eSIM across major carriers and bring the iPhone Air to market as soon as possible.
