Samsung SmartThings will soon let you start your car

Samsung is rolling out its new “Home to Car” feature in SmartThings, developed with Hyundai Motor Group. It lets users remotely check vehicle status and control functions like engine start, AC and door locks, as well as set automated routines. The feature launches first in South Korea for Hyundai, Kia and Genesis cars with recent infotainment systems and active subscriptions.

Samsung also introduced SmartThings Safe, a quick SOS button that shares your GPS location with selected contacts and updated Home Life to recommend more automated routines. Additionally, users in South Korea and Australia will soon be able to link device info to Samsung’s website for repairs and service history.
